Sapphire 3 Photo Abrasion

Sapphire Photo Abrasion is the ultimate combination therapy for the skin. It combines the latest in Red and Blue light rejuvenation therapies, lymphatic drainage, and microcurrent with a highly beneficial vitamin exfoliation for dramatic results that improve the skin’s health and appearance from the very first treatment.

Indications for Sapphire Photo Abrasion:

  • Fine Lines
  • Acne
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Enlarged pores
  • Sagging skin
  • Keratoses

Treatment begins with a Sapphire Photo Abrasion. Named for the sapphire granules that cover its unique tip, this crystal and suction-free abrasion system uses vibration to painlessly ablate the outermost layers of the skin. The tip is slowly passed across the skin’s surface, revealing the healthier layers beneath. Because the system is suction-free and non-thermal, it can be used to treat a wide variety of skin conditions.

Patients experience not only dry but also a wet abrasion, resulting in immediate improvement in the skin’s texture, tone and appearance. Patients note that the treatment is deeply relaxing, and physicians and aestheticians report that it leaves the skin more receptive to the pursuing wet, vitamin infused light therapies.

Three different head sizes are available, providing a wide range of grit, or grain sizes. Depth of exfoliation is determined by the level of pressure applied combined with grit size chosen.

100 grit exfoliates approximately 75 - 125 microns of the stratum corneum
70 grit exfoliates approximately 125 - 175 microns of the stratum corneum
50 grit exfoliates approximately 175 - 250 microns of the stratum corneum

Lymphatic Drainage follows the Sapphire Photo Abrasion. The function of the lymphatic system is to clear toxins, metals, inorganic substances and other waste from our tissues and cells. The lymphatic system has no pump and is dependent upon muscle contractions, stimulations, and deep breathing to drain properly.

This unique lymphatic drainage process speeds up the removal of waste while it detoxifies and regenerates new tissue and cells. Using the reverse side of the Vitasonix 300’s tip, and changing from vibration to a pendulum motion, a massage of the lymph system is provided, following the facial paths of the lymphatic system.

Concentrated Red Monochromatic Light therapy now follows. Throughout all the previous phases of the treatment, the skin has constantly received red monochromatic light exposure. Now, concentrated Red LED therapy is performed via a black pen device. The 630 nm wavelength of the red light stimulates the production of ATP, which is the major carrier of energy to all cells, expediting the replacement of older or damaged cells. In addition, it stimulates fibroblasts in the connective tissue that produces collagen, and promotes elasticity and firmness.

Microcurrent is combined with the concentrated red LED to stimulate muscle toning.

The final step of the Sapphire 3 treatment is Blue LED therapy.

blue

Blue LED light is the latest, most sought-after solution for reducing bacteria that causes acne. To varying degrees, everyone has bacterial deposits on their skin. The blue LED therapy component delivers blue light at 450nm at high frequency, destroying the bacteria known to cause acne and other related skin conditions by producing an extra molecule of O2, creating a medium in which acne bacteria is unable to survive.
